Just Passing on a Jaw Dropper

I was just reading an article that Ryan Air had to return to their flight takeoff point after some tape which had been used to repair the pilots' window came loose and the pilot's attempt to duct tape the window failed to work.

That pales in comparison with the final paragraph of the article, which I quote below.

"Ryanair has had quite a string of bad press lately. Earlier this month, the airline came under fire for its announcement that it will remove toilets from planes to make room for extra seats. This summer, the notoriously cheap airline gave a passenger in cardiac arrest a sandwich...and later charged him for it."

Gotta love it!.........sigh.

  1. Doesn't surprise me. And they're not really that cheap, once you add in all the carefully hidden extras. A "$20" flight can easily end up costing you $150 or more unless you jump through all the carefully hidden hoops. Bastards! Exploitative avaricious cheating BASTARDS!
Whew, thanks for releasing my pent-up rage at those avaricious cheating exploitative lying greed-driven ... OK, I think I've made my point.

  4. Heard about them. No intention of finding out if any of it is true, even if people claim they can travel pretty cheaply. I like "real" airlines.

  5. But on the plus side, as long as you don't have an in-flight heart attack, don't need to go to the bathroom, and don't obsess over whether the tape holding the windows in place might fall off, it's a great deal!

  9. That's just horrible! And to think I was just on their site looking at flights for a weekend getaway with my wee ones. I'll stick to the big, more expensive and more reliable airlines from now on.

  10. HAHAHA- like what, the whole plane is supposed to just dehydrate themselves for hours before boarding a plane because there are no bathrooms?!!

    Oh wow.
